Grants to Projects of Andorran Associations
By civic associations, we understand associations legally constituted, non-profit making and with full legal and operational ability, the statutory purpose of which is to undertake international development cooperation activities, and are based in the Principality of Andorra and registered in the Andorran Government’s register of Associations.
Other players are considered to be non-profit making associations with their headquarters in the Principality that wish to carry out international development cooperation projects and, due to their legal status, are not ruled by the qualified Associations Act, of 29 December 2000.
Grants are awarded to civic associations that are legally established in the country and to other players that carry out their international cooperation and social development activities in developing countries.

The strategies to fight against the problem of street children in Bolivia implies reintegrating them into society. The Association works with a local counterpart which has a great project dedicated to street children in Santa Cruz (Bolivia) with the aim of training them and offering them an education in diverse professions (carpenters, gardeners, and so on). The new project, Proconca, by this organisation aims to care for street children to try and ensure they attend school, to care for the younger ones, and to prevent them from becoming marginalised. The area in which it is developed, Plan 3000, is a district with a great problem regarding infants at risk of social exclusion, many of whom end up or are already living on the streets. Phase 0, funded in March 2018, consists of adapting a space in the Don Bosco Centre Project with computers and toys and games to be able to put on workshops for the children as well as their parents. The centre is managed by three teachers from the Don Bosco School Project and by three Cooperand volunteers. There are workshops on school support, social skills, motivation, personal growth, hygiene, health, civility, sexuality and nutrition, among others, imparted by professionals from each area. The project also includes a part for training teaching staff and seminars for parents from the district. - Més informació

After a study on the situation of women and the limitations in exercising their rights through participatory diagnosis, forced marriages were identified as the starting point from which to work on gender inequality, through the protection and accompanying of mothers and their children, their training and creating awareness in the communities about this practice. The actions envisaged include carrying out awareness creation activities aimed at decreasing the number of forced marriages as well as unwanted or early pregnancies. The project includes actions on pregnant women’s health and their new-born babies and entrepreneurial actions for women to empower this collective with socio-economic strength. - Més informació
