Maira López Lavado
Director
The Department of Bilateral and Consular Affairs is responsible for monitoring relations between the Principality of Andorra and the other countries of the world, and for consular assistance to Andorran citizens abroad.
To this end, it works in coordination with the departments of the Andorran Administration that may carry out activities that have an impact on these relations.
The Department of Bilateral and Consular Affairs works closely with the Principality of Andorra's embassies abroad, as well as with the embassies accredited in Andorra, with which it maintains regular contact.
Part of the task of this directorate is to prepare in the capital and abroad the visits and meetings of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the other members of the Government of Andorra, as well as to follow them up.

Consular Affairs
Consular assistance is the service provided to citizens by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which carries out a whole range of administrative acts necessary for everyday life, whether in the Ministry's central services or in diplomatic representations abroad. The consular service also informs citizens travelling abroad about the requirements for obtaining visas and manages the register of travellers.
This service also assists Andorrans living abroad with their administrative formalities, in coordination with the competent authorities.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is also responsible for legalising documents issued by the Andorran authorities so that they take effect and are valid abroad.
