L'Andorre, pays catalan d'économie ouverte entre la France et l'Espagne

(FR) L'Andorre est un des pays catalans, seul État indépendant et souverain, qui ait permis sous le franquisme la préservation officielle du catalan. Son identité nationale est en cours d'affirmation. L'autorité réelle étant encore aux mains des deux Co-princes il se crée des courants que les Andorrans utilisent dans leur équilibre politique et face aux puissants États voisins. Après l'accord avec la Communauté européenne et un début de réforme, trois questions sont à résoudre : statut international, constitution écrite et démocratique, et mutation économique qu'impose la nouvelle relation avec l'Europe. L'Andorre a une économie ouverte et libérale, en forte croissance, où le secteur tertiaire éclipse les autres activités. Elle structure un large espace transfrontalier, dont elle reçoit une forte influence en retour, qu reflètent les débats autour de la nationalité, de l'andorranisation, des communications et des médias. Andorra is one of the Catalan areas and is the only independent and sovereign state which under Franco allowed Catalan to be officially preserved. Andorra's national identity is currently being asserted. Real authority being still in the hands of the two co-princes, trends appeared that the Andorrans use both in their political equilibrium and to face the powerful neighbouring states. After the agreement with the European Community was made and reform begun, three questions remained unresolved : international status, written and democratic constitution and the economic change imposed by the new relationship with Europe. Andorra has a rapidly growing, open and liberal economy in which the service sector overshadows the other activities. Andorra structures a large cross-border area, through which the principality has become very influential, as is seen in the debates on nationality, andorrani- communications and media.
