Resum
(ENG) In a small country, the situation on the preservation of species tends to be very different to that of the rest of the world. For example, a plant that is only found in one particular country, and is, for this very reason, granted considerable importance on a global scale, can be abundant on a local scale without risk of disappearing. Or, the case can be the complete opposite, a plant that is common in an extensive part of a continent, can be very rare on a local scale and under threat of extinction. Following the IUCN suggestions for small territories, applicable to Andorra, we have evaluated all the taxons found in Andorra using the same criteria on which the World Red List is based (figure 1) but only taking into account the Andorran populations (number of individuals, areas they are know from etc). The application of these criteria allow each specie or sub specie to be classified into the categories standardised by the IUCN (figure 2). We have refined these profiles taking into account the influence that foreign populations can have on the Andorran populations (the arrival of new seeds, cross-pollination).
